In an effort to eliminate childhood lead poisoning and reduce the spread of illnesses, The Cooperative's Lead & Healthy Homes program has a fun and educational handwashing curriculum for students ages 3-8.

With the help of mascot Rinsey Raccoon, this 30-minute curriculum includes:

-
An interactive storybook on the five steps of handwashing (soap and water, bubbles, 20 second rule, rinse and dry)
-
A sing-along as students pretend to wash their hands for the appropriate amount of time
-
An interactive activity where students must help Rinsey wash his hands the right way by putting the steps in order
-
At the end of the program, students will receive an activity book with stickers to take home
-
Teachers will receive free posters to place in bathrooms with Rinsey reminding students of the five steps to proper handwashing

Wash Your Hands With Rinsey is a program funded by the New Jersey Department of Health created to help children learn proper handwashing techniques while educating them on the importance of washing.
